You moved into a new flat or condo in Punggol and now you’re wondering if a personal trainer actually covers this end of the island, or if you’ll need to travel somewhere else for every session. Here’s the direct answer: yes, sessions can be arranged here, usually at your condo gym or a nearby public gym such as Sengkang ActiveSG Gym, while the estate’s own regional sports centre finishes construction.
Punggol is still a relatively young town, so its sports infrastructure hasn’t fully caught up with its housing yet. That doesn’t stop sessions from happening. It just means the venue is usually your own condo gym or the closest suitable facility, rather than one fixed address in the middle of the estate.
Do you actually have a personal trainer in Punggol?
Yes. Punggol isn’t on our list of named training areas yet, but because most sessions run through condo gyms and shared facilities rather than one fixed address, we can arrange training here. It’s also one of Singapore’s fastest-growing towns. According to the Singapore Department of Statistics, Punggol’s population grew from around 51,000 residents in 2007 to about 204,000 by June 2025. That’s roughly four times as many people in under two decades.
Most of those residents live in HDB flats, while around one in eight lives in a condo or apartment, according to the same June 2025 figures. Condo residents can often train in their development’s own gym, and everyone else trains at a nearby public gym.
Where exactly do sessions happen in Punggol?
| Venue type | What to expect |
| Your condo gym | Your trainer comes to you, at no extra cost |
| Nearby public gym, such as Sengkang ActiveSG Gym | Used when you live in an HDB flat or your condo gym is too limited |
| Punggol Regional Sports Centre | Not open yet, expected in 2026 |
Punggol’s own dedicated sports hub, the Punggol Regional Sports Centre, is not open yet, with an opening expected in 2026 according to Sport Singapore, though no exact date had been announced at the time of writing. Until then, condo gyms and nearby facilities do most of the work.
Is training different for people working in Punggol Digital District?
Not really. The only difference is that sessions are planned around your workplace instead of your home. Punggol isn’t just a housing estate anymore. Punggol Digital District, a business park built to house tech and cybersecurity firms, has been opening progressively since 2024, according to JTC, the government agency developing it. That means a growing number of people now work in Punggol as well as live there.
If that’s you, a trainer meets you at whichever nearby gym suits your schedule, whether that’s before work or straight after you finish, subject to trainer availability.
How does a Punggol session work?
You start with two trial sessions, solo or with a partner, before deciding whether to commit to a package. That’s true whether you’re in Punggol, Bishan or anywhere else we train. Regular sessions then run at whatever venue makes sense once your trainer knows your schedule and your home setup.
If you’d like to see exactly what that looks like before booking anything, explore our solo and pair training options for full details on trial pricing and how packages are structured.
What if my condo gym is too small, or I live in an HDB flat?
Some condo gyms, particularly in smaller developments, only have a handful of machines, and most HDB estates don’t have an indoor gym for residents at all.
When that happens, your trainer simply moves the session to a nearby public gym, such as Sengkang ActiveSG Gym, instead. The programme and the pricing stay the same either way.
Are LTH Fitness trainers certified?
Yes. Every trainer we work with holds at least one recognised fitness certification. That’s not unique to Punggol, but it matters more in a newer estate where you can’t always rely on word of mouth from neighbours who’ve used a trainer for years already.
If you want to check credentials before you book anything, you can read about our trainers’ certifications and see what each one holds.
Before you get in touch
The obvious hesitation with a growing estate like Punggol is whether the infrastructure can actually support proper personal training yet, given the main sports centre isn’t finished. Condo gyms and nearby public gyms already cover that gap, and two trial sessions let you judge the setup for yourself before committing to anything.
If you’re ready, get in touch to check availability near you and we’ll confirm the details for your specific address.
Frequently asked questions
How many people live in Punggol, and does that affect getting a trainer?
About 204,000, according to the Singapore Department of Statistics’ June 2025 figures. That doesn’t make a trainer harder to find, since sessions are spread across condo gyms and nearby public gyms rather than one crowded location.
Can I train near Punggol Digital District if I work there rather than live there?
Yes. Sessions can be arranged around a work schedule the same way they’re arranged around a home address, using whichever nearby facility fits best.
Will LTH Fitness train at the new Punggol Regional Sports Centre once it opens?
Not confirmed yet. It depends on the facility’s own booking arrangements once it opens, which is expected in 2026. For now, sessions run through condo gyms and existing nearby facilities.
What happens in my trial session if I’ve never worked with a personal trainer before?
Your trainer builds the first session around your current fitness level rather than assuming any prior experience, so a complete beginner and someone returning to exercise get equally useful starting points.
