Frequently asked questions

While we mainly stick to a certain number of gyms (see here) that are vetted by us to have the equipment available to give our clients fruitful gym sessions, we can travel to other locations that are more convenient for you!

Our trainers will first design a personalised weekly routine for you, based on your goals, areas of improvement, preferences, and any physical injuries or limitations.

The initial sessions will be based off this weekly routine with the trainer focusing on safety and progressive weight increments. Over time, as you get more familiar with the routine, our trainer will be able to make the sessions more dynamic to spice up the sessions, without sacrificing on your progress!

We do this through 3 approaches:

  1. Before the start of your first trial session with us, we will give you a short questionaire to fill up to let us know what you’re looking for, why you want to train, and if you have any medical conditions or injuries.

  2. We will assign a trainer whose area of expertise aligns with your goals. Your replies to the questionaire will be shared with the trainer before your first session with them, so they can prepare your session with them ahead of time.

  3. During your time with us, we will adapt your routine based on your strong points, personal preferences, and areas that are in need of improvement, with the overarching goal being your own fitness goals.

Absolutely not!

We specialise in training people who are complete newcomers to the world of weightlifting, or even in the world of exercise in general. Our trainers are adept in gauging your fitness levels, cardiovascular strength, and overall stamina during your gym sessions with us, and will adapt on the spot accordingly to make sure that you are pushed within safe limits to avoid injury, dizziness, nausea, or muscle strains, and excessive muscle soreness.

With our personalised routine crafted according to your fitness goals and physical capabilities, you can look forward to being a healthier, stronger, more energetic you, with us.

While we do encourage all clients to fix their preferred slots so we can reserve it for them for every week until the end of time, we welcome clients with dynamic schedules to book every session a few days ahead of time.

In this day and age, building a physique you’re proud of can feel almost like a luxury, given the time commitment it requires. And we all feel it’s wrong – at the age of the working adult, exercising is more important than ever, especially to prevent common issues of aging such as muscle wasting and stiff joints.

To be healthy, one does not need to go to the gym. Simply going for regular jogs or engaging in any other kind of physical activity (climbing, pilates, spin, yoga, badminton, football, etc) is good enough to keep you healthy, energetic, and stave away lethargy, difficulty sleeping, stress, or lack of appetite.

Then why go to the gym at all?

Lifting weights, when done with proper form, a solid routine, and steady progress, will give you the following benefits: increased bone density, greater flexibility, increased strength, increased muscle mass, increased metabolism for easier fat loss, increased mental focus and better mind-muscle connection.

It benefits people of all ages: for the young, it helps to set a solid muscular foundation and a great life habit to keep the body healthy and strong. And for the old, it helps the most in aging gracefully: increasing core strength, reinforcement of muscles around the joints, and increased bone density.

This will depend on what your goals are:

If you’re looking to strictly just lose weight, the gym is not compulsory – your caloric intake is more important. But if you want to set yourself up to make long-term (think years and decades, not months) weight loss easy, and even not gain weight as easily, the gym is an amazing place to accomplish that. Strength training itself, and the gaining of muscle mass, is scientifically proven to increase metabolism, ensuring that not only can you can eat more while maintaining your current weight, you can also lose weight faster when eating at the same calorie deficit as you would with less muscle mass.

If you’re looking to build a physique, gain weight, or gain strength, the gym is absolutely the most efficient way you can go about doing this. The gym, at its core, is the most fundamental type of resistance training for your body – repetitive motions to tax and wear down the targeted muscle groups, so they will grow back stronger and bigger over time. Even professional athletes must hit the gym if they wish to hone their craft, because there is no exercise more efficient at building muscle than the gym.

While we do encourage all clients to fix their preferred slots so we can reserve it for them for every week until the end of time, we welcome clients with dynamic schedules to book every session a few days ahead of time.

With our personalised routine crafted according to your fitness goals and physical capabilities, you can look forward to being a healthier, stronger, more energetic you, with us.

We put in our utmost effort to inculcate 2 values in every client of ours: independence in the gym, and healthy gym habits.

To promote gym independence, we will always encourage you to go to the gym yourself between sessions with us, especially after we make sure you are more familiar with a fundamental set of exercises that you can easily replicate in a gym that you wish to go to. We will adapt the routine based on what equipment will be available to you: a condo gym is more lacking in equipment compared to a commercial gym, so we will work with exercises that can be done in your condo gym, so you can replicate it yourself at home.

To promote healthy gym habits, our method of training is educational in nature; we do not just show you how to do the exercises with good and safe form, but we provide in-depth explanations of which muscle groups are being used, and why we want to train this muscle group. This method of training has led to our clients being able to make informed decisions on how to alter their routine themselves, and the purpose behind every workout in their routine. A major benefit of having this in-depth knowledge is that going to the gym becomes a lot more purposeful, and gives additional reason, motivation, and discipline to hit the gym every time you are supposed to.

With these 2 values, it becomes our hybrid training model, where clients will train with us a few times each week, and hit the gym as many times as they want to in between. This makes it so that they can get an optimal number of workouts in weekly, and avoid paying personal trainer fees every time they want to go to the gym.

We do this through 3 approaches:

  1. Before the start of your first trial session with us, we will give you a short questionaire to fill up to let us know what you’re looking for, why you want to train, and if you have any medical conditions or injuries.

For our trial sessions and our regular sessions, payment can be made after each session if you are using Paylah or Paynow to make payment. If you choose to use a credit card, debit card, or Google Pay, payment must be made before the start of the session.

For our packages, payment must be made before the start of the first session of the package, regardless of the payment method.

We partner with Stripe to bring secure credit and debit card payments, Google Pay, as well as payment by installations for our packages, to all clients! We also accept Paylah and Paynow.

E-invoices can be sent via email upon request.
